Sometimes a Reshoot is Better than Extensive Retouching

Customer satisfaction is my highest priority!

After your session, you will have an opportunity to review your proofs.  If you're finding you want to make too many changes to your photos, maybe a reshoot is the best answer.   Please consider the following points before booking a reshoot:

  • Remember, the proofs are completely unretouched.   If you purchase a portrait image or print, standard retouching is included as part of the Image Preparation, so it is possible retouching may fully address your concern.  For example, if you do not like a photo because of a few minor stray hairs, or maybe you have a facial blemish, a pimple, your kiddo's nose is runny, or there is something distracting in the background, it is likely it can be fixed by our standard retouching!   If there is any retouching needed beyond standard retouching, we can do that for an added fee.

  • Are you self-conscious about your weight or a double-chin?   Don't worry, there is a solution.  I offer additional retouching services (added fee) and I can do a lot to subtly give you some photographic "slimming".  Shhh... no one has to know!  (Yes, some say I can work miracles! :-)

  • Alternative cropping of the image may be a solution!  The proofs provided are typically cropped to a standard 8x10 proportion. The full photograph includes a little bit that may have been cropped out in the proof.  Sometimes a different cropping will achieve the look you are wanting, such as changing a vertical cropping to be horizontal, or vice-versa. This is another option to consider.  You might be surprised what a difference this can make!

Maybe a reshoot is needed?

If it's something about my photography:  If you just didn't like any of the shots I created, then I would be happy to do a reshoot for you at no extra charge.

  OR

If it's about you:   If you decide you just don't like how you fixed your hair that day, or you forgot to comb or brush it, or you didn't iron your clothes and there are too many wrinkles in your shirt, or you're not pleased with the color or design of the clothing you chose to wear that day, let's get it right!  We can schedule a reshoot session at my standard session fee.

  • If you opt to do a reshoot, the new shoot will be booked at the soonest available time that fits both our calendars.

  • Note: If you originally used a makeup artist, they are paid independently. Unfortunately, I cannot offer their services for free for the reshoot session. If you wish to use a makeup artist, you will be responsible for paying them at the time of the reshoot.
