We live our lives
Assuming there's a tomorrow
Always waiting for us,
To do what we failed to do today.

But there will be one day
In each of our futures
A day with no tomorrow.
A day on the edge of eternity.

For our lives on this Earth,
Let's not take these days for granted.

If we need to make amends to someone, today is the day.
If we need to express our love, today is the day.
If we need to seek forgiveness, today is the day.
If we need to grant forgiveness, today is the day.
If we need to spend more time with our children, today is the day.
If we need to spend more time with our aging parents, today is the day.
If we need to overcome something that has been hurting our lives
   or those whom we love, today is the day.
If we need to do something to make this world a better place, today is the day.

If we need to sort out what it means to have faith in God, today is the day.

And when we are at that moment when our life is ending,
Will we be ready to let Jesus take our
Hand and lead us into Heaven?

Today is the day we can say we chose to stop
Putting off what matters most in life.

Today is the day.
