Student Comment:
"Kevin has so much experience and great tips for every
issue you could possibly think of. He doesn't only teach
the theory, I could really tell that he actually DOES
what he's talking about - these are real tips from a
real photographer."

We will be
covering all of the key information you need to take
great studio photos using monolights. We'll be working with a model, and everyone will have an opportunity to shoot and
create their own great photos with their own digital SLR.
The final portion of
the workshop will be a photo session where the
students will be doing all of the photography.
It's a free form session where the students are
challenged the put into practice what they've
learned in class.

The Day
It's a full day, but we'll
have breaks and time for lunch, and lots of learning
experiences. By the end of the day, you will be skilled at taking
your own great photographs with studio lighting using your own
camera.
Prerequisites
- Good understanding of the
basics of photography including setting exposure, the
relationship between shutter speed and aperture. My Photography 101 Workshop is a good
preparation for taking this class.
- Required: A Digital SLR (DSLR) that
supports Manual exposure mode. Contact Kevin if you have
any questions about this before signing up.
- You do not need to have any
prior experience with studio lighting to take this class, nor do
you even have to currently own studio lighting. In fact,
you might want to take this class before buying studio lighting
in order to get a better understanding of what you need for the
type of studio photography you want to pursue.
