Cancellation
/ Rescheduling Policy
We realize that sometimes things come up and you may have to cancel
or reschedule. If you need to reschedule your session for a different date or time,
please try to do so at least 3 days prior to the scheduled session
date.
When rescheduling with more than 24 hours notice, the
non-refundable Booking Fee you paid may be applied toward your
rescheduled session date. If the session is not rebooked
within 6 months, the Booking Fee is forfeited.
If you cancel or reschedule less than 24
hours before the session time, or do not appear for the session, a
Late Cancellation Fee will be imposed. Sorry, there are
no exceptions to this, if you cancel on
the same day or are a no-show. The Late
Cancellation Fee is an amount equal to the Booking Fee for that
session. Therefore, the
Booking Fee is forfeited and you must pay a
new Booking Fee in order
to re-schedule a new session date/time.
The
new Booking Fee is
non-refundable and will be applied toward your new session fee and
order total. If it is raining at the time of the
photo session, we can reschedule without forfeiting your Booking
Fee.
If for some reason your session was
booked without a Booking Fee, then cancel with less than 24 hours
notice, a Late Cancellation Fee will be imposed, equal to the
standard Booking Fee amount.
Common Questions
Q: Why does a late
cancellation forfeit the Booking Fee I paid? Can't it just be
applied to the new rescheduled session date?
A: All of our photo sessions are custom sessions,
catering to the specific needs of each type of shoot. We try
to accommodate the fact that some sessions run longer than others,
and each requires setup based on the type of shoot. Because of this,
we try to not schedule sessions close together or back-to-back.
That way, when you show up for a session, we are ready and you do
not have to wait for us to finish up a previous session. Your
time with us is totally your time, and all of our attention is
focused on you. That also means that we usually only schedule 2
or 3 sessions per day. Also some of our sessions are
in-studio, and some are on-location. When you book a session
we arrange our whole day's schedule around the bookings for that day
and turn away other potential bookings for that timeframe.
For example, if you book an afternoon
session, and then cancel at the last minute, we are not able to fill
in that time slot with another session on such short notice, and thus
this basically shuts down our studio for the afternoon.
Therefore, a late cancellation forfeits the Booking Fee.
Q: What if they are
predicting rain and we've scheduled an outdoor session?
A: A
prediction of rain does not mean the shoot will be canceled. In
most cases, the shoot can take place as scheduled.
In fact, the light can be quite nice on rainy
overcast days! We will be in contact with you should bad weather
potentially be an issue with the shoot, and if you have doubts, please
call to avoid loss of your Booking Fee!
Q: If I
reschedule with more than 24 hour notice, what happens next?
A: We will work
with you to plan a new session day and time, and the Booking Fee you
paid will be applied toward the new booking with no penalty.
Q: Is the Booking
Fee refundable?
A: No, sorry the Booking Fee is not refundable.
Q: If I forfeit
a Booking Fee due to a less-than-24-hours cancellation, is that money
applicable toward my balance owed later on?
A: No, if a Booking
Fee is forfeited, you lose that credit. Sorry, no exceptions
to this.
