of this world through photography.
I offer a wide
variety of services
ranging from high quality portraiture, to professional
headshots and talent portfolios, as well as event photography,
commercial and product photography, real estate / architectural
photography, and special assignments. I also teach a
variety of photography
classes / workshops and a fine art
website where my wife and I sell some of our art photography (GourleyArt.com).
I strive for excellence in
all of my work. The best way to judge any photographer
is to look at examples of their work. I have provided many
examples of my photography throughout my website. Please check
out my example photos below as well as the many
galleries I have posted on this
website. Note both the consistency in quality, creativity, and
diversity in my photography.

About
Kevin Gourley
Photography is not just my interest, it is truly my passion. I
guess you might say "It's not what I DO, it is who I AM."
For the past 30 years, I have loved photographing people, nature, architecture,
scenics, and
still-life, capturing the beauty and wonder of the world around
us.
I enjoy travel, so I
always bring a camera with me, wherever I go! I have also been involved with and/or started numerous
photographers' groups and clubs over the years, and have taught
courses in photography ranging from basic to advanced photography,
portraiture. lighting, color and B&W darkroom work, composition, low
light photography, and studio photography.
"Kevin enjoys travel...
He enjoys seeing the
world from different perspectives."

My "Style"
I'm not really limited to one particular "style" of
photography, but I do
tend to create images with rich color, dramatic lighting, and
pleasing composition.
I love the challenge of encountering a
subject and "seeing" the beauty in what I encounter, and then
capturing that in a photograph. While photographs can
be "created", constructed and contrived from a pre-planned envisioned
image, I prefer to rely on my ability to "see" the image as I
encounter it. That's not the only way I work, but it is
my preferred method of working.
'"It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you
see."
- Henry David Thoreau
My practice of watching for
"the" photograph in any scene, has given me a greater awareness and
appreciation of the world around me, even beyond my photographic
endeavors. Even if I don't have a camera with me, I tend to
see the world through photographic eyes.
